The Three Types of Care & Why You Need All Three to Thrive in Life

Would rather listen than read? Here is the full Nantucket After Dark Episode here; so let's get to it. I live and I love this. So I'm going to share with you these three different types of care we need and how to apply them. So, first off self-care everyone pretty much knows this, right? Its self-care is this idea where we care for ourselves and maybe it involves a massage or maybe an involves, um, going for a walk or making sure we're eating really well. What self-care truly is, is allowing us to maintain our full cup so that we can be there for ourselves and then be there for others. So self-care is maintenance. 8 Minute Read - Influence the room, don't be influenced by the room

Emotional Vampires and what to do about them

Be an observer. I'm not saying cut yourself off emotionally from everything. I'm saying be discerning when it comes to your emotions. Easier said than done, I know. It's something I myself am still learning to do. It takes time and practice. Sensitive souls wander this world constantly 'feeling' deeply and often times feeling bad for people and/or events. That doesn’t mean you have to be a martyr.  If there is something terrible happening to someone or if there is an emotional event, shield yourself. You can still be there for other people without sacrificing your own well-being. Again, I know this is easier said than done.  And I don't mean for you to be emotionless.  Emotions are what make us beautiful human beings.  I just want you to be shielded from ot
